When you are the mayor of a town, everyone knows you. You walk around greeting people, shaking hands, hugging children and kissing babies. How does this translate online? Sometimes when we hear mayor, we oftentimes think that “everybody has to know me; I must be selling every piece of real estate in my city.” However, becoming the digital real estate mayor starts by making sure that everybody in your sphere of influence that you know offline, Starts to know about you online. Then that wildfire begins to grow online and gets bigger and bigger as you get exposed to their friends as you start selling homes to more clients. So the concept of digital mayor should start by being very present and bringing lots of value and being well known amongst the people that you already have a relationship with. It’s that connectivity that will be the foundation for it all.
Before social media was around, we might say that you were the listing mayor of your neighborhood if you were the guy that constantly sent out farming newsletters and just sold and just listed cards, but now what we’re doing is we’re taking that concept and we’re taking it online. So we’re, we’re trying to become famous to a group of people in a more targeted manner.
It’s easier than people think. The ability to change the perception in a short period of time whether talking to a demographic or geographic is one of the best things about the digital space. You can really nail down demographic or geographic where in the past, it was like farming. Another huge plus about the digital space is that it doesn’t cost a lot of money. You can do a lot and not spend too much.
How to become Digital Mayor with a Virtual Assistant
One fact is that to become Digital Mayor, you need to make sure that your online presence is constant. Constant online presence takes a lot of time that you may not have. Once you have content that you have curated or that you have closely worked with someone to create, a Real Estate Virtual Assistant can be in charge of ensuring that it gets out there.
