3 Things Your Business Should Be Thankful For – And What If You’re Not?

MOD Virtual Assistants

It’s that time of year when we try to reflect on everything we’re grateful for in our lives. Honestly, we should reflect like this throughout the year but nobody’s perfect, right? We’re busy professionals! We don’t have time to stop and smell the roses! Although, if you had a few virtual assistants helping you out, you probably would have time for that. Just saying! But I digress. With Thanksgiving fast approaching(wow this year flew by!) it’s the appropriate time to take a look at the year behind us and reflect on how it got us here. The decisions we made, the people who helped, and everything that stood the test of time. I’m sure you have plenty of personal things you could list that might get you feeling all warm and fuzzy, but for the sake of dry eyes let’s focus on the business stuff. After all, our business is your business.

[Grab a FREE Strategy Call Here]

Thankful For New Technology

This is an easy one. We’re all thankful for the advancements in technology that have… well, advanced our lives. From being able to deposit a check by taking a picture with your phone, to ordering cat food online with 2-hour shipping; life has gotten super convenient. But how has technology improved your business? Maybe you launched an app this year that made it easier for your clients to schedule appointments or get support. Maybe you implemented a new software at the office that helped automate something and improved your productivity. In any case, technology surely helped you this past year. With so much of the workforce staying home, you had no choice but to embrace technology. So even if you didn’t try some new tech gadget, you at least relied on technology in some way to keep your business running. Which means you likely had people supporting it with you. Researching new tools, testing them, training your team on using them, implementing them into your existing processes, etc. A lot of us wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for advancements in technology. And for that, we’re forever thankful.

Thankful For All of The People

All of the tech in the world is nothing without the people behind it. Be that the people who came up with it and designed it, and built it. Or like I mentioned previously, the people who help bring it into real-world use at companies like yours. Surely you have a team of folks you’re thankful for because you can’t imagine making it as far as you have without them. If you’re doing things right, then your employees should be just as focused on your vision as you are. They believe in your company mission and most importantly they believe in you. We’re nothing without our teams; as they support our efforts, bring new ideas to the table, and hustle to accomplish the tasks set forth. Never forget the human behind the numbers.

Thankful For Flexibility

If your company is still kicking then you’ve likely been at least somewhat flexible during these unprecedented times. This could mean ‘trimming the fat’ where you saw it necessary, loosening the reigns on your employees a bit, embracing remote work, even trying new things as you tried to adapt to an ever-changing professional world. Of course, part of being the boss means being rigid sometimes, stubborn, and firm with your decisions. But it also means being open to new ideas, change, and evolution. Our bodies stay in shape when we constantly move them, put them through strained exercises, and then stretch so as to facilitate healthy growth. Being flexible is an important part of improvement. Our businesses are no different. So cheers to having the luxury of flexibility at a time when it’s most important.

We’re Thankful For You

These are just a few of the things we’re thankful for, not to mention you the reader. We’re thankful for you too! Whether you’re just browsing this blog and have never used our service, or you’re an existing client. Either way, this blog is being written because of you. Never lose sight of how and why you got to where you are now. When we fail we’re quick to pick apart everything that leads us to loss. We want to assign blame to someone or something so we can say “that’s why it didn’t work! It wasn’t just me!”. We don’t often enough do the inverse when things are successful. Now is the time to assign praise, instead. Point to the people and things that made it all possible. The last couple of years haven’t been easy, and we’re sure you couldn’t have done it alone.

If while reading this, at any point you hesitated to relate, then something needs to change. Because those three things should be the minimum of what any successful company is thankful for right now. And believe it or not, virtual assistants have a direct impact on all three of them. Maybe you need help adopting new technology, and further help maintaining it. Maybe you need some extra hands on deck for customer support, scheduling, billing, etc. Or perhaps your team is overwhelmed and needs some backup so they can have less stressful holidays. Even just one of our experienced, educated, reliable virtual assistants can be something you are thankful for in any of those cases. So don’t hesitate to reach out via the link below, and request a free one-on-one consultation. We’ll listen first and then propose an action plan. We guarantee you’ll be thankful you did.

Should I Use a Virtual Assistant Service for My Business?

MOD Virtual Assistants

If you’re a small business owner just starting, you may not have the resources to hire a full-time assistant. In this case, you may end up doing tasks that take you away from growing your presence in the marketplace.

A great solution is a virtual assistant service. It’s growing as technology makes it easier to work remotely.

This article will cover the top reasons why hiring a virtual assistant (VA) is the best option for your business. Keep reading to learn the benefits of virtual assistants.

[Considering a Virtual Assistant?]

virtual assistant at home calling with myoutdesk logo at the wall

It Covers Many Roles

Virtual assistant services come in different forms. You can hire a company that outsources VA services, a talent agency that provides virtual assistants. Or you can hire an independent assistant.

The skills offered by VAs are wide-ranging. The skillsets can be as simple as someone who perform basic clerical duties and answers calls. You can also find VAs who can perform accounting duties, marketing, and social media management.

To find a virtual assistant, enter “virtual assistant near me” in your Google search. If you do not find a local agency, it’s okay.

The VA doesn’t have to be in your area, city, or state. With the internet, the person you hire can reside anywhere.

It’s Cost-Efficient

Regardless of what your individual needs are, the cost to hire a remote assistant will most likely cost less than a full-time employee. Because their skill levels are diverse, you can cover multiple requirements with a single assistant.

In addition, there are no benefits to pay. Plus, VAs are independent contractors, so you don’t have to worry about payroll taxes. If you go with a virtual assistant service, you pay the agency a fee, and they take care of the rest.

It Can Help Grow Your Business

The best virtual assistant services can help you grow your business. There’s no longer a need to bypass the essential functions of running a business. These one-stop shops have everything you need.

Services include:

  • Administrative assistants
  • Customer cervice
  • Help desk & support
  • Marketing assistants
  • Receptionist support
  • And more

With the money you’ll save, you can invest in ways to grow your business and remain competitive.

It Provides Flexibility

The flexibility offered with hiring a virtual assistant is immeasurable. One of the important factors to consider is the ability to extend your business accessibility to clients.

Customer service features often come with either business hours that go late into the evening or 24-hours. You’ll also have someone to answer calls, allowing you to focus on more pressing issues.

Plus, you can finally take a much-needed vacation without closing your business.

Is a Virtual Assistant Service Right for Your Business?

A virtual assistant service is beneficial to many businesses. Determine the specific needs of your company and measure them against the services offered by a virtual assistant.

When you’re ready to take the first step in increasing the efficiency of your business operations, we’re here to help. Schedule a free “double your business strategy” call today.

Outsourcing Virtual Assistant Services To The Philippines

MOD Virtual Assistants

The Philippines is one of the top destinations major corporations outsource their business needs. Doing so allows businesses to keep overhead down on expenses such as office space, equipment, internet connection, taxes, and even benefits.

Even though this provides significant cost savings to business owners , it also greatly benefits a Philippines-based Virtual Assistant as well. They get to work from home, be closer to family, and removing 2-4 hours of a daily commute. All while taking in a great wage.

While several other countries are well-known for offering virtual services, such as Malaysia, South Africa, and India, it’s the Philippines making headway in the outsourcing world. Here is our 2021 “State of Virtual Assistants” Report. In that report, we discuss the top types of virtual assistants and how they affect businesses.

[Considering a Virtual Assistant?]

Why else would you consider outsourcing to the Philippines?

a myoutdesk virtual assistant awaiting instruction

The People and The Talent

Filipino people are globally known to be loyal and hard-working. The deeply rooted spirit of being family-oriented is a great benefit as an employer. Filipino Virtual Assistants will work hard for their families’ well-being and thusly, their employer. Since the Philippines was occupied by Spain for several hundred years and was liberated by America in the early 1900s. Filipino people are open to different cultures. They are primarily influenced by western media and culture, thus making it easy for them to understand your culture.

The Accent (or lack thereof)

The Philippines boasts a 95% literacy rate wherein the medium of instruction is mainly in English. Many companies outsource jobs to the Philippines because the accents of Filipinos are primarily neutral. This means they can easily be understood by western customers.  Furthermore, the Philippines is currently ranked #27 out of 100 countries globally on the English Proficiency Index and is ranked #2 in Asia as of 2021.

The Education and Job Market

According to the Philippine National Statistics Office, there are 42.5 million Filipinos in the labor force whose median age is 23 years old. The Labor force Participation Rate is at 60.6%. The Philippines has also been recorded to have a High English Proficiency rating of 60.59.

They are #3 in Asia and #15 out of the top 80 countries. English is the medium of instruction in school and the official language of businesses.

Lowered Cost and Liability

When hiring a Virtual Assistant, that can qualify as a deduction from the taxable income of 50% of labor expenses and consigned equipment. All legal risks are transferred to the outsourcing provider. As mentioned earlier, this provides significant cost savings as well. A Virtual Assistant will be working from their home, so no need to provide office space, they will have their own equipment and internet connection. If you sign-up with a company like MyOutDesk, we handle all benefits and HR concerns for you!

How to Hire a Virtual Assistant for Nearly Any Industry

Hiring a virtual assistant empowers businesses to delegate nearly all non-revenue productive tasks. This allows a business or team leader to focus on the most important work ON your business instead of in it. Remember, if you don’t have an assistant, you are the assistant.

How Hiring a Virtual Secretary Can Benefit Your Business

Administrative, MOD Virtual Assistants

With 90% of remote workers preferring to stay that way, virtual assistance is trending upwards. Rather than having in-house secretaries, more and more businesses are hiring remote contractors to answer phones, book appointments, send customer reminders, etc. Often acting as a kind of communication hub for your business by maintaining a line of contact with customers via voice, SMS, and email.

If you haven’t ever had a virtual secretary, you might wonder if it’s right for your company. You might even be wary of doing it.

There are a huge number of benefits to having one, and if you bear them in mind, you might just discover a virtual secretary could do wonders for your business.

[Considering a Virtual Assistant?]

virtual assistant smiling while working

Reduced Costs

If you hire a virtual secretary, you’ll find that the costs are reduced in comparison to a traditional employee.

You won’t have to provide them with office equipment, medical benefits, or paid sick days. You also won’t have to pay taxes on their income, as that’ll be up to them to file with the IRS.

This can cut down your costs enormously.

Not only that, but you might not even need to find office space at all if most of your employees are virtual.

Increased Flexibility and Productivity

The best virtual secretary will be flexible in their hours. If you need someone to work at non-traditional times, you can likely find someone to do it.

You could also hire someone from a slightly different timezone so that their working hours align with yours.

Because of this flexibility, your virtual secretary is likely to be more productive. When setting their own hours, or discussing them with you and coming to an agreement about what works for both of you, they can pick the times when they can get the most done.

Since they don’t have to factor in travel time to the office and other things in a non-remote position, this leaves more time to get work done.

There’s also flexibility for you. If you’re not happy with the relationship you have with someone you found on a virtual secretary website, it’s easier to cut ties and find someone else. This guarantee makes it easier to enter the relationship and less daunting.

[Considering a Virtual Assistant?]

They’ll Be Happier Than a Traditional Employee

97% of contractors are happier than in-house employees. Happier people are more likely to get more work done and actually do their best for your business.

When finding a virtual secretary for hire, you’ll usually find they’re more motivated than an in-house employee. This is because there’s a sense of both freedom and control in what they do, which will very much benefit the work they’re doing for your business.

Hire a Virtual Secretary and You’ll See

If you’re not convinced, try it out. Hire a virtual secretary for your business and you’ll see all the benefits compared to having an employee in-house doing the same tasks.

Most virtual secretaries can do a wide range of tasks, so you can get everything you need in one contractor.

For someone highly reputable and trustworthy, check out our plans today from one of the longest-running virtual assistant service companies.

5 Incredible Benefits of Hiring a Virtual Office Assistant

Administrative, Marketing, MOD Virtual Assistants, Mortgage

When you own a business, it can be exhausting trying to keep up with all the different duties and keep your business on a path to grow. And many times, hiring an employee is out of the question because of the costs associated with it.

That’s why many businesses are beginning to hire a virtual office assistant instead to help take some of the workload off. According to a recent estimate, hiring a virtual assistant can save business owners up to 78 percent in operating costs throughout the year.

Keep reading this guide to learn exactly what is a virtual office assistant and the benefits of hiring them for your business.

[Considering a Virtual Assistant?]

1. Gives Your More Free Time

As a business owner, you know how valuable free time can be. It can help you accomplish more or even give you the ability to spend with your family and friends. Virtual office assistants can help take some of the responsibilities you have throughout the day and accomplish them with little to no oversight.

Some of the virtual office assistant job duties include:

  • Payroll and accounting
  • Booking clients
  • Managing appointments
  • Responding to email & phone
  • Developing spreadsheets
  • Organizing calendars

These individuals can also help you with more advanced roles, such as a marketing virtual assistant to help manage your social media, create content, and advertise to help grow your online presence.

2. Professional Style

When you hire virtual help, one of the best benefits is the high level of professionalism they already possess. However, since virtual assistants work for themselves in many instances, they must maintain a professional style to be rehired by clients.

Unlike when you hire a traditional employee, you won’t have to train a virtual assistant to work in a professional setting.

3. Saves You Money

The best part of all is hiring a virtual assistant to save you money that you can put back into the business. You don’t have to pay for things such as a new desk, office supplies, computer equipment, etc. Like you would with an in-house employee. Another thing to consider with virtual help is that you can go right online and hire a virtual assistant, saving money on the costs associated with the hiring process.

4. Business Growth

Virtual assistants can help you grow your business in several different ways. First, they take a portion of your obligations, so you have more time to focus on the core business operations.

Secondly, they already know the job you hired them for. So it won’t take much time if any, for them to start contributing.

5. Build up an Online Presence

If you haven’t already, expanding your online presence can pay massive dividends to your business. With 93 percent of Americans on the internet, it can be a huge opportunity for you to grow your market.

Virtual office assistants specialize in search engine optimization, content creation, and social media marketing to expand your business’s reach and grow your brand.

Integration Today – How Even Your Business is Functioning like E-Commerce

e-Commerce, Inside Sales, Marketing, MOD Virtual Assistants, Recruitment

(Sales Development Strategies)  Today’s preference for e-commerce has brought in a whole new way of doing business that benefits some and harms others. As a CEO and entrepreneur, it’s on you to ensure the internet is always to the advantage of your business.

Still, many are not considering the effects of the e-commerce business trend. Those who are at a disadvantage due to e-commerce are losing out on business and income, but there is no indication that it will be over soon.

In this article, you’ll find out:

  • Physical businesses aren’t tapping into their online resources enough!
  • E-commerce strategies work with any business to INCREASE market share
  • What fresh “WORK FROM HOME” businesses need to consider for virtual success
  • Sales development strategies by leveraging remote work
  • What is the history of e-commerce?

Whether you know it or not, ALL businesses already incorporate e-commerce functions in parts of their operations.

Integrating a physical business into the online marketplace

Even when operating from a commercial location might be necessary, business owners of franchise locations, medical offices, brokerages, financial services, and further professional firms CAN FURTHER BENEFIT their already-existing online presence.

How? By leveraging the e-commerce style operations

What are those? How is my physical business already virtual?

Your business is already functioning like in an e-commerce standpoint because:

  1. Your business is listed on search engines (Hours, phone number, location)
    Yelp, Google, Bing, Facebook
  2. You use email, contact forms, and further messaging platforms
  3. You might be already setting & confirming appointments online
  4. Your newsletters and campaigns are online

It seems to be rather obvious that, in the modern age of technology and connectivity, we have come up with many new ways of doing things that were previously done via traditional methods or other means.

HOWEVER, THERE IS MUCH MORE TO LEVERAGE ONLINE!

To learn exactly how to leverage e-commerce strategies for your business, continue to “Sales Development Strategies.”

History of e-commerce & e-commerce strategies

E-commerce (also known as electronic commerce, e-business, Internet business, or online shopping) is the buying and selling of products or services over computer networks.

It is an umbrella term used to describe the buying and selling of products or services over computer networks such as the Internet. This form of electronic business allows CEOs & entrepreneurs to conduct commercial transactions over the Internet. It includes retailing, services, and entertainment.

Why has e-commerce become so widespread in today’s marketplace?
  1. The first reason is the advent of computers and their widespread use. Computers provide unprecedented efficiency for businesses, allowing small ventures to compete with big ones.
  2. The second reason is the advent of the internet. The internet allows for easy communication between businesses, customers, and suppliers.
  3. The third reason is the availability and relative ease of use of mobile technology such as smartphones. Mobile technology allows for access to information on demand, which in turn provides people with more choices.
  4. The fourth reason is the relative ease of setting up online businesses, which are cheap to set up and don’t require a lot of overhead.
  5. The fifth reason is the relative ease of setting up online stores on sites such as Amazon, where sellers can easily set up and start selling their products with very little overhead.

E-commerce is the embodiment of a more equal, globalized playing field for anyone to tap into a data-driven and information-driven network and grab more market share.

Is e-commerce the future for every small business?

Small businesses that incorporate e-commerce style practices have seen how it has greatly changed the way they communicate, sell and buy.

The negative effect of e-commerce is that it has also hurt traditional businesses. Brick and mortar stores have been closing at an alarming rate.

Thus, more traditional businesses are adapting by hybridizing their operations, being able to reap the benefits of accessing an online marketplace for the physical location. People are simply not going out anymore unless they have a reason!

Sales Development Strategies + Case Study

There are three universal ways to think about sales development strategy. Which approaches are you taking for accelerating your results & profitability?=

Most CEOs & entrepreneurs say they rely on one (or all) of these approaches:

  1. Relationship-driven service & value using excellent people skills & soft skills.
  2. Numbers-driven decision-making based on reports & data (such as a daily number of leads, average close rates, etc.)
  3. Heavy emphasis on marketing and creating content for attracting & converting leads.

Sometimes a company will use all approaches, they hire different talents to fill each capacity. For example, one person may be great at talking to people on the phone. Another person might be great at networking and bringing in new leads from other companies or industries. A third person might be great at creating content to attract visitors to their site and then converting them into leads.

Luckily, we offer relentless talent matching to support the growth and success of your business. You can benefit from adding new talent to your team!
