Rudy Kusuma is the recipient of the 2013 & 2014 Five Star Real Estate Agent Award – a level of excellence achieved by less than 7% of the real estate agents in Southern California. He attributes his success to leveraging systems, technology, and people – and says that if you focus on the aspects of your business that affect the outcomes and delegate the rest to Virtual Assistants, your business and revenue will grow exponentially.
Look at the different areas of your business and assess which responsibilities can be delegated. How will you know? It would help if you looked at the outcome of each one. If your participation does not affect the result, then you can delegate it. For example: posting listings on MLS, will the outcomes change if you do it or someone else does it? If not, then you can delegate it.
On the other hand, say you are negotiating a contract since the outcome relies on you, then your focus should be on that and other similar activities. A major flaw in many Real Estate businesses is that the Real Estate Agent is not focused on the outcomes. They are so busy wearing so many hats that their time is split, and they are unable to work on their business because they are stuck working in it. This is why many Real estate businesses do not scale.
Rudy has built a business with people with particular roles, and he has a specific team for marketing and multimedia. He has sales agents, administrative people, and he has three Real Estate ISA Virtual Assistants. By delegating these other essential responsibilities that he knows he does not need to accomplish, he can focus on growing his business and serving his clients.
