At MyOutDesk, we love highlighting founders who are not only building successful businesses but also redefining what growth looks like through smart systems, strong leadership, and a willingness to evolve. Erin Pedrami, founder of Pedrami Law Firm, is one of those leaders.
Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Erin brings more than two decades of legal experience along with a deep passion for technology, automation, and operational excellence. Since launching her law firm in 2018, she has built a thriving practice focused on family law and estate planning while also running a successful HVAC company. Her journey is a powerful example of what happens when vision meets execution.
“I have been a lawyer for over 20 years but I started my law firm in 2018,” Erin shared. “Everything I learned from the ground up, literally from the dirt to the clouds, I duplicated and opened my law practice.”
From Accidental Entrepreneur to Systems Thinker
Erin’s entrepreneurial journey began in an unexpected way when she opened an HVAC business years before launching her law firm. What started as an accidental side hustle quickly became a fully operational company with industrial space, wrapped vehicles, and a full CRM system.
“The HVAC business grew from nothing into a real life monster,” she said. “Everything that I learned there I used to grow and start the law firm.”
That experience shaped her mindset around systems and automation long before many businesses began talking about digital transformation. Erin has always been focused on finding ways to streamline operations, reduce manual work, and create processes that allow businesses to scale without chaos.
“I was thinking about how do you automate a business a long time ago because I was on the clock for a big organization,” she explained. “I love technology. I am always thinking about how do I automate this and how can I get the work to do itself.”
The Intake Challenge Every Growing Firm Faces
Like many business owners, Erin reached a point where growth exposed operational gaps, especially around intake and lead conversion. While she had been using traditional answering services for years, they were not delivering the consistency needed as her firm shifted to a paid consultation model.
“For years prior I had been using a very well known answering company but they could not follow the script and book the paid consultations,” she said. “Every time someone called, every human was doing it differently.”
As her business coach helped her refine her strategy, the need for a dedicated intake professional became clear. Erin knew she needed someone who could consistently represent her firm, understand the nuances of her practice, and convert calls into booked consultations.
Finding the Right Fit With MyOutDesk
After researching virtual staffing solutions, Erin chose MyOutDesk because of its transparency and multi industry experience.
“When I saw the marketing videos on social media I got very interested because they seemed very real,” she said. “I wanted to go bigger and look in a pool of candidates who had multi industry experience.”
The impact was immediate.
“When we hired the VA from MyOutDesk to answer our phones for the law firm on her very first day on the job she was booking paid consultations and doing exactly what we needed her to do,” Erin shared.
Today, Erin has virtual professionals supporting both her law firm and her HVAC business, helping manage intake, track metrics, and support sales processes.
“They are absolutely amazing,” she said. “They are engaging, honest, real people and they have become part of our business family.”
Turning Chaos Into Clarity
With the right support in place, Erin was able to move from constant operational stress to a more structured and data driven approach. Her intake professional now helps track leads, conversions, and performance metrics while also supporting scripting and objection handling.
“We listen to call recordings and see what people are objecting to and how we overcome that,” she explained. “This week it is like every call that is coming in she is booking.”
For Erin, the transformation has been significant.
“A headache does not even scratch the surface,” she said when describing past challenges. “If I do not have her I am back to zero.”
Building a Culture of Ownership and Vision
Erin is passionate about creating a collaborative environment where team members feel connected to the bigger picture. She emphasizes that people work with her, not for her, and believes strongly in aligning everyone around a shared vision for growth.
“We have created a vivid vision for the law firm and the HVAC business and we update it regularly,” she said.
This forward thinking approach has positioned her businesses for continued expansion, including plans to hire additional attorneys and scale operations in the near future.
“I am hopeful and optimistic about our relationship with MyOutDesk,” Erin shared. “I have been very pleased.”
A Founder Driven by Passion and Possibility
Beyond her operational success, what stands out most about Erin is her passion for what she has built. Whether she is talking about helping clients navigate complex legal matters or running an HVAC company in the Louisiana heat, her energy is unmistakable.
“Both of these businesses are part of my heartbeat every day,” she said.
Her story is a reminder that growth is not just about strategy. It is about resilience, curiosity, and the willingness to embrace new ways of working.
